I've been in a rut for a few weeks now and I can't dig myself out. :( I've been staying under my calorie goal but barely, and I'm not making the greatest choices. How do I get myself out of this?

The only way to get yourself to lose weight is to make good choices, no matter how much you don't want to. It's good that you are staying under your calorie limit, but maybe you should try to exercise more? Motivation has to come from yourself. Just remember that everybody goes through ruts, but don't fall off completely! You'll be mad at yourself if you do. Good luck!

if u have been staying at your calorie goal then your doing awesome! i don't always make great choices. but that will come with time. try and make one or two good choices a day, a piece of fruit, adding veggies to your meal, whatever it is. remember mfp isn't actually about cutting out the foods u love! it's doing it in moderation. good luck and don't beat yourself up, your actually sticking to it!

Remember why you started this journey. Why do you want to lose weight? Dig deep! When your why is strong enough, you don't need motivation. You just think of your why and it's enough to get you up and moving!

There is inherent danger in focusing solely on results. Its like a business that looks at nothing but the bottom line. They lose sight of why they are in business and how they impact the world around them.

Often, when we don't get the results we want, we get frustrated and that becomes justification for getting off the plan and going backwards.Try and spend some added effort on your behaviors, log each and every day, all of the good and all of the bad. I have included a link from a previous blog on MFP that may help.

complete your profile... the about me... the inspiration...all that "stuff" because it isn't just stuff... it is a snapshot of WHo youwere when you began this journey... NO ONE out here is capabl;e of giving you that swift kick in the pants you are looking for... that comes from the fire that burns from within... and the profile "things" are your own little reminders of how to ignite and re-ignite that passion for doing right by you.. for YOU...
