I am new to MFP. I started Monday, so far lost 10lbs. The oonly explaination I can think is doing what I have never done before, EAT! I never ate throughout the day. I would skip meals and usually eat 1 or 2 large meals. I am so thaankful for MFP.

Anyone else going through this situation?

The first week of weight loss is often substantial. Stick with it, though. You'll have up weeks and down weeks. Congrats for getting started! :flowerforyou:

Eating consistently (every 2-3 hours, smaller portions) has made a big difference. My weight loss hasn't been as spectacular, which is fine, but it's been fairly consistent. SInce March 1 I've lost ~23 pounds, which is about 10 pounds a month.

Nice to see your efforts are paying off!

    Good luck and keep tracking

Holy cow you lucky boogers! <lol> I've never had a week bigger than 2 lbs, not even the first one. Maybe just counting your cals means you're eating a lot less? I know I was surprised when I started counting, at how much I was probably overeating before and not even realizing it. Whatever it is, enjoy it!

Thank you! Yes I know the first week is always the best. However I am hoping to level around 2-3lbs per week. It is the waiting game....lol
