Help Please- Egyptian Recipes
Can anyone please point me toward recipes for foods eaten in Egypt? I do our high school's spring musical and I started giving recipes to the cast that sort of summed up the show. It was Bahamian peas and rice for In the Heights and barbecue for Footloose. This year is Aida. Help please.

Check out koshari (various spellings), which is pasta, lentils, rice, tomato sauce, and a boatload of onions and garlic.
Ful medames is a fava bean stew kind of like fava hummus--you'd add oil, garlic, lemon juice, some spices.
Lamb kebabs.
And pomegranate tea!
Aida is a fun musical. Good luck/break a leg with your show.0 -
