I gained 130 lbs (I'm 5'6 btw) over 3/4 years and no amount of dieting could help me. I tried hitting the gym too (on/off) but was discouraged because after a while I stopped seeing results and was bored. Now I live in a small town where every trainer I've met seems to be against weight-training for fatties like me, they always told me I'd get bigger and to just stick with the treadmill and/or stationary bike, it simply got boring after a while.

In February, I got diagnosed with PCOS and have since been on Met. It helps with cravings and I've dropped 18 lbs, but a month ago I lost a loved one and whilst I usually didn't dwell and could bounce back, I just can't seem to cope and feel better this time. Yesterday I noticed I have either eaten crap or eaten more than usual even when not hungry. I haven't gained my weight back though, but I'm desperate and I'm tired of feeling guilty after I eat, I'm planning on going back to the gym, do things properly and stick this time, and this is where I need your help. Can someone give me a good workout plan? I've been reading but I'm still not sure how many sets and reps, etc, and I surely don't want to just walk on the treadmill for an hour and a half everyday.
