This might be redundant

Does anyone have days where no matter what you put in your mouth - you're still hungry?
Today is one of those days for me. Any suggestions?
What makes it worse is I have a function tonight where hor d'oeuvres will be served. I'll try and keep it to the crudite. But what to have on hand at work when you feel this way? I can't get up and exercise - so any suggestions?

I am particularly extra hungry today because I busted butt this morning exercising.
I say what @kern11 says, you are not really hungry, maybe bored.
Could you just be thinking way to much about food. Come on, you know what you like to keep in the drawers at work for those "go to moments"...0 -
hunger vs appetite..
figure them out and do what's need.
Chew gum, drink water, get away from where you are for a bit...0 -
Tea, water, diet soda and get busy doing something. Focus on other things at the event tonight (talking with people etc).0

Some days I am hungrier than others. There are points during weight loss where I think your hormones might be fighting your efforts, but MEH. Eff 'em.
Drink water, chew gum, and show them who's boss. Hunger is not an emergency. If you're using the site, you know that you're consuming enough calories to feed your body (assuming you're not eating at too aggressive a deficit). Trust the numbers. Your body has lied to you before about needing food, otherwise you might not have eaten too much and put on extra weight in the first place.0 -
Drink water, eat plain celery, brushing your teeth helps satisfy cravings as well.0

Been sipping on some ice tea. I had a day of fasting this week and ever since then, I've been trying to be good and not eat myself silly. I think you all are right - I'm thinking too much on food and perhaps I'm bored. I need to focus on other things.
