well I'm gonna give this another shot. I tried to get with the program a few months ago but I fizzled out after a few weeks. I'm really trying to stay motivated so that I can drop this baby weight...that's what I like to call it...3 years later. I've always stayed away from community boards, but I'm hoping that maybe I'll find the push to keep going if I engage more with others that are on the same path. I'm one week in, 2 lbs down and excited to see what the future holds. How do you keep motivated? How do you stay on track when life gets busy and healthy food choices seem impossible?
Nice to meet y'all. Happy weight losing!

Welcome. Personally I completely avoided the scales for the first three months to avoid frustration. At three months I was down 17 pounds. So I set a goal of 20 lbs. If I reached that goal I got new workout shoes. It made me work harder for my goal. So now I have new shoes and now I have a 40 lb goal. I don't know what reward to set for it but I'm working on it.0

Hello there, nice to meet you, my name is Nelson and you made me lol because I always make that joke....baby fat? Your kid is 5yrs old hahahaha.
Don't give up, keep at it; every time I'm in the gym and see a muscle popping up somewhere it gives me the boost and energy to keep on going, the hardest part for me is the nutrition part, I'm not creative enough I guess, when it comes to cooking food.
Anyway, great job on your weight loss and I'm here to cheer you on if needed.....take care and God bless0 -
Hey A!!
Welcome back. I'm also on the MFP rebound. First time worked awesome. Lost 70 lbs. Then fell off the wagon and gained 20 back. So I'm back to get my hard(ish) body back. MFP works. With good friends who give you motivating comments, not criticism and who encourage, you'll find it pretty easy. If I can help, happy to be your friend. Good luck!! Hope to see less of you soon.0 -
Thanks everyone! Glad to know there are other people out there trying to stay focused on their goals.0
