what effect is too much protein having on my weight loss

Advice please; I regularly exceed my protein Marco by 20-30 most days. I mainly get it from fresh meat or eggs but starting to wonder what sort of impact it could be having on my weight loss efforts. Can anyone advise?

it's no big deal. If you like your protein, carry on. MFP's auto-generated protein macro is pretty damn low to begin with; it's advisable to consider that one a MINIMUM to meet or exceed, which it seems like you have no problem with!0

If you're staying within your calorie allotment, none. The default setting on MFP is actually fairly low by some people's standards (20% I think?). At the end of the day for weight loss it's calories in vs calories out.0

Thanks, that's good to know. I do like my protein so would rather not cut back on that. While I'm meeting my calorie goal I will continue to enjoy a bit of meat0

The benefit of additional protein is that it will help you retain muscle mass (when supplemented with resistance training) whilst you lose weight0
