After a "cheat day"

Really feeling the difficulty of getting back on track. Didn't go crazy yesterday - cals were still in the lose 1 lb/wk category, but still. It was so nice not to be hungry most of the day! Problem is, I have an event in 3 months that I'd like to lose 20 lbs for, so I have to keep it pretty strict. Sigh... Back to hunger.

You shouldn't be hungry all the time. It makes it very unlikely that you will experience a healthy weight loss and be able to stick to your plan. How much do you have to lose? I'm losing 2lbs per week and I'm never hungry. I eat 4 meals each day and grab a piece of fruit at night if I'm up late and ate dinner early.

Set your goal to 1 pound per week. Make sure you are getting enough protein and fat in your diet so that you feel more satiated. No reason to feel starving all the time, and this will prevent the binges that happen when you restrict too much.

Yeah, all good sensible advice. I'm eating super clean, lots of fiber and protein - probably do need a little more fat. Thanks for the reminder. As for losing and not being hungry, I wish I were one of those people who can do that, but I'm not. I'm just one of those people who experiences hunger easily and intensely. And I've tried many different nutritional plans to see if one was the magic satiety in weight loss, but no. I'm just a hungry person. More than 1 lb/wk might be too hard for the months ahead.
    Thanks for the support!

You don't have to be hungry in order to lose weight. Adjust your calories so that you can fit in a serving of your favorite foods/treats if you have to.
