Seattle?!

Hi. Yet another question for those who live in, or frequently travel to Seattle. I will be there next week, and my plans fell through. What are some fun, cultural/scenic things to do there beyond the super obvious like the needle, the market and such (I've got that covered). Is there an extra good tour of the city or outlying areas? I've only been there once, and it is gorgeous. What do I see first?? PS. I do NOT get ON water.

For something a little offbeat, you could go see the Fremont Troll. We've done it a couple times and it's a fun photo op. It's nothing too exciting, but enjoyable.

A couple favorite things for me are:

Get a coffee at the Starbucks at Columbia Tower (the 40th floor)...awesome free view
Head a couple of miles North and take a walk around green lake, best people watching
If you do drink coffee at all, you should visit the first Starbucks Roastery on Capitol Hill...willy wonka of coffee

I'm sure there are great tours, I just don't know of any. Have a great trip!

The underground tour is pretty cool. I also enjoyed the Chihuly Garden. There is always the natural beauty of Mt Rainier which has a really cool gondola. Last but not least the ferries to different parts of the city is always fun and low cost. I am a foodie so I like to check out little local restaurants! Whatever you decide to do you will have fun! I love Seattle and can't wait to go back. I have a trip scheduled in August!

If you have a car, you could check out Snoqualmie Falls or the glass museum in Tacoma. Also in Tacoma is Lemay car museum. Even if you're not crazy about cars, this museum is really awesome. If you don't get on water, you can walk by it. Go to Alki Beach Spud Fish & Chips (YUM!), then walk along heading back toward West Seattle bridge. You will have excellent people and dog watching, and spectacular views of the city. Right in Seattle is Seward Park. The people watching may not be as good as at Greenlake, but the views are SO MUCH better!

I agree with this guy. Check out the Purple Cafe, do some wine tasting and eat some cheese.
