I can't wrap my head around my exercise totals and how this (neg) stuff works, it makes no sense to me. For Example: I do a fitness class and it gives me 245 calories and then my vivofit gives me (-) 245 which, leave me with (Zippo) exercise calories for it. Why ?

Are you making sure you are not double counting?
I have a fitbit and if I add exercise to mfp, I have to make sure I input the start and stop time so that fitbit doesn't double it.
Negative adjustments are basically when your device tells mfp you're going to burn less than what mfp thinks you will.
Like today, I'm at -135 because I haven't moved much (sore knee) and my fitbit is telling mfp that based on what I have done so far today, by midnight I will only have burned 1395.0 -
Eat less, move more, and it all works out.0
