Hey everybody! I tore the ligaments in my left ankle. Orthopedic calls it the worst kind of sprain and would have been better off breaking it.

Anyway,

Any suggestions on how to get exercise while this thing is healing? I'm suppose to stay off it as much as possible for the next few weeks. I'm also wearing the big boot support thing.

Thanks to anyone replying.

Seriously tho, seated rows with low weight and hi reps if you want cardio, seated lat pull downs, seated triceps, crunches (with or without weight), assisted pull ups and dips (on your knees), bench presses, bicep curls with dumbells...on and on and on. For cardio: low weight, lots of reps. Just hang out in the weight room at your gym and look around. You'll see something.

    Broken fibula checking in.

If your gym has an arm bike, you can do that for cardio.
otherwise you're limiting to seated upper body lifting.

Thanks for the response. The university I work for has a gym and I can do some of this stuff.
