    Guessing you meant 1000

Perhaps try weighing your food to double check it is only 1000 calories

    Do you mean 1000?

Because 10,000 is a totally different problem to 1000.

I don't think you're eating enough calories. 10,000 seems a bit low for someone of your activity level.

I'm assuming you mean 1000 calories per day.

Are you netting 1000 or eating 1000?

If netting, my guess is it's a combo of overestimating exercise calories and underestimating food calories.

If eating, my guess is it's a matter of underestimating food calories.

Are you weighing your food whenever possible, measuring with cups/spoons when not, or estimating as accurately as possible when the first two aren't possible? Are you logging it all? Or are you just "watching" it and estimating?

What do you mean by "not much result"? Have you lost anything? How long have you been following this plan? Why did you choose such a low calorie goal?

If you open your diary, you may get some useful advice.

You're almost certainly eating more than you think.
Start weighing everything you consume, then get back to us in a month if you're not losing still.

No I am logging it. I drink nothing but water and coffee in the morning. And I don't count the cal. I burn while exercise

How are you determining how much to log? Are you weighing your food or are you using measuring cups? Are you using generic database entries or using the recipe builder?

Ok let me start over. I have only been following this plan for about two weeks. I have only lost 1 pound. (kinda depressing) I'm eating no more than 1000 cal. a day and no more than 30 carbs a day. I eat egg whites in morning a salad with plain tuna for lunch and small piece of white meat and green veggies for supper. And usually a carb smart yogurt for a snack. I eat no sugar. If I drink tea I use Splenda. Just was wondering am I on the right track or not. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

May I be so rude as to ask how much you have to lose? .5lbs a week is spot on for small losses.

How are you measuring the quantities of the food that you eat? Are you weighing your meats and vegetables? If you provide information, you will probably get some good advice. Opening your diary will increase the quality of the advice that you get.

I started in November eating about 1200 or less calories a day. It took six weeks before my scales recorded a loss. Give it time.

Actually I'm very active but relatively new, I've no idea what this Friday business is!

Your profile says you lost 1 out of 20 lbs. So you probably are going to lose weight much slower than someone who has 50 lbs to lose. My goal is set for .5 lb per week. It sounds like you're doing fine!

What you claim to be your daily intake is too low. But I'm not considering you haven't answered how you are measuring your food, I'm not convinced you are actually eating 1000 calories. Regardless, a 1 pound loss is completely normal and fine and even good.

Typically Friday's are where shenanigans happens! I don't comment too much but mostly read and watch both sides. Very entertaining!

You need to get a scale and measure in grams whenever possible. Ounces if not possible. Then measuring cups/spoons if that's not possible.

Even better, just go by your scales. If you lose weight, you're doing it right. If not, you're doing it wrong.

Ok well Thanks to those who are giving me advise without being nasty I will try the scale thing. Hope it goes better than it has been :):)
