    Welcome! Congrats on taking the first step toward a healthier you! I am by no means an expert but I can suggest a few things: 1) Have patience. 2) Know exactly on what you expect from yourself. 3) log on MFP everyday. Good luck on your journey!!

    I'll add:
    4. Pick a program that's HEALTHY, and not a FAD.
    5. Drink 1/2 of your weight in ounces of pure filtered water EVERY day.
    6. Make sure you get SOME sort of exercise every day.
    7. Don't step on the scale every day, ONCE a week is fine.
    8. MEASURE as soon as you start, Chest, Waist and hips.

    It works, it will get aggravating & annoying logging food on a daily basis, but, you learn what to eat, how to eat better, and it works. Build a strong support team and if you have a bad day, log it, start again fresh the next. Accountability in seeing what you eat helps tremendously.
