Cycling and gaining weight

I have been strength training for about a month now, still waiting to see any big gains in strength or muscle size, but I know it's early days.
I also enjoy going for long bike rides on the weekend, typically around 30-40 miles. Do you think this is affecting my strength training??

Shouldn't do at that very moderate mileage.
The biggest impact is on training performance and recovery but a couple of hours a week really isn't a lot.
If anyone tells you that you will be "burning muscle" they are talking out of their *kitten*!
I'm doing 100 - 200 miles a week and there's a definite impact on my gym performance as I have to let my legs recover so doing very little leg work in the gym. The downside of having conflicting goals....0 -
Cheers! Yes people say you shouldn't do cardio unless it's HIIT. But I'm only doing 30-40 miles at about 15 mph. Just have to ensure I eat plenty of food in the day u ride.
Thanks for the advice!0
