Hey everyone. My name is Kat. I'm 27 years old and I just moved to beautiful Vermont from less beautiful (but still awesome) Massachusetts. My family consists of my husband who is my middle school sweetheart and my two kiddos ages 4years and 7months. I also work full time as an accountant for a construction company and am a volunteer in our churches teen ministry.
I have been considerably over weight for most of my life and I have recently realized that it is more than just my biology keeping me heavy(I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 16). I realize that I am addicted to food. Over the past year or so I have been doing a lot of work mentally to prepare myself for this physical journey of weight loss. I have. About 125 lbs to lose in total and I am terrified of failure...again. I'm hoping that this forum will help be the support I need to make it. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and start down this path together! (Edit for title)

Hey, neighbor, I live in New Hampshire! Welcome to MFP! You've come to the right place for the tools and support and to develop the lifestyle habits that will enable you to lose weight and keep it off. My recommendation is to take it slow and steady, know that each day you are making progress toward achieving your goal, and by all means, get a digital food scale and weigh everything you eat. Measurings cups and spoons are completely inadequate.
Best Wishes!
