Wow, I am excited about my progress!

In two weeks I will have been on this journey for exactly one year. I was 60 years old, tired, fat, out of shape and annoyed that I had let myself get this way. I decided that I had to do something and do it quickly.
I started by walking a mile each day at lunch, and then a friend showed me the My Fitness Pal app, and I was hooked. I built a plan and started sticking to it. I am almost fanatical about entering my foods, and it started to show very quickly. I have steadily dropped weight and fat, while increasing my activity. A strenuous workout at the gym every Saturday and I am now walking/jogging between 2.5 and 4 miles a day.
I feel amazing, and 6 months into my program, my Doctor told me to stop taking my high blood pressure medication because my resting blood pressure had dropped dramatically. Haven't needed the drug since!
As of today, I have lost 70 pounds, and hope to lose another 18 before our planned return to South Africa for holiday in November. I can't say enough about myfitnesspal, and how it has helped me to stay motivated. Using the app, Runkeeper, my Withings Pulse and Withings Scale, I am kept on the right track, and I have now gotten to the point that it is second nature to get up and start moving!
