Hi guys

I am in need of some advice.

I had/have a goal to lose at least a stone or 2 by 23rd May but to lose 6 stone this year.

I have been using My Fitness Pal since end of March/beginning of April to add my calorie intake and exercises. Also s.health pedometer to track my steps and aim to walk more/ffurther each day.

I am 23 years of age, 5ft 3" and am 14 stone. I have always been quite big since little. Now enough is enough and making a change.

I have replacement bars for my breakfast and lunch then a meal which I include veg/salad.

I am doing squats 6 days a week out of 7 of 60+ squats, I am on days 6 of the plank challenge and on the exercise bike 15-30 mins again 6 times a week.

I try and not snack during the day or of an evening, but if I do its low calorie snack/celory.

I'm not seeing a difference.

Can anyone advise me in doing anything else?

Thank you in advance

You won't be able to lose a stone by the 23rd. Aim to lose 1-2lb per week. Eat a calorie deficit.

Why are you in such a hurry? And how many calories per day are you actually eating?

Is going from 14 stone to 8 stone realistic?

But regardless of that, that sort of weight loss could take a couple of years. You didn't put all that weight on overnight so you can't expect it to come off that way.

I started in June last year and it will take me until late July or early August to lose the 71lbs (5 stone) that I set out to lose. Sad to say 6 stone, 84lbs, is going to be almost impossible to lose by the end of the year as you only started at the beginning of April. It's probably not possible to have lost a stone by the end of May, either. Slow and steady is the only way weight loss safely works. 2lbs a week is safe at first, moving down to 1lb a week as you get closer to your goal weight. Please don't get frustrated and give up by setting yourself impossible goals. Good luck!

Oh and take before, during and after pictures. That helps to see a difference.
Use a tape measure to measure different parts of your body.
Pick a tried and true pair of pants and a shirt and see how they fit differently month after month.

You're around the same weight as me and same height, I'm 25. You really need patience, I find patience hard. I think I do less exercise than you, I've lost 5lbs so far in couple of weeks, I dint snack on any junk at all, welcome to look at my diary to see what I'm eating etc

This is a good example as sometimes when loosing weight the muscle gain can cause you to think no weight loss is accruing (muscle weighs more than fat) but having a physical/visual reference can show the true results and help to put a motivated smile on your face

If you are not losing weight, you are most probably eating too much.
If you are 100% certain that you are eating at a deficit, then go see a doctor..

Hi Sophiia do you use a fitness tracker along with MFP ?

Are you logging everything? Two meal replacement bars and a salad meal with celery snacks doesn't sound like you are eating enough.
