Does anyone else still think of themselves as the old version and then see a reflection and think, "Oh yeah...wait a minute!?!"

    I had the same thing happen to me just yesterday! I took a double take when passing my dresser mirror and just had to smile! :smile: It was probably the first time in a long time that I really liked what I saw! Isn't it great when that happens!!!

    I do get what you are saying about the "old" person still in your mind! I think all the time that I am still that person - what makes me see the "new" me is when I catch my boyfriend giving me the once over. Now that is a great feeling!

    All I see is the fat girl in the mirror. Every once in a while I'll see a pic of me I didn't know was being taken and I don't recognize myself.

    wow! pretty stinkin' amazing. you look like a different person. I totally get what you are saying. When I look into the mirror I have a hard time adjusting to the "new" person looking back at me. I guess being overweight for so long has changed my self image. In fact, when I go shopping, I find myself drifting to the section where I use to shop. I come to work, and my boss tells me it is time to get new clothes. In my mind, they fit ok-- probably because my jeans now actually are comfortable. The other day while I was at the gym, I looked at back at myself and I was shocked-- not use to seeing myself as a thinner person. Congrats on your success. You are doing wonderful!

    :) thank you! I am 5'10 (Drs office told me 5'9 at the last appt, but I refuse to believe Im shrinking! :)
