Just Looking for married moms that are in the same shoes as myself, for motivation and encouragement! I know that moms are not the only ones that have a hard time with losing weight or that are busy, but I tell you what raising a family and trying to take time out for yourself can be a very difficult thing to do! If I stopped to think about all the things that are going on in my life wow would I go crazy! I am sure most of you moms can relate to me; running the kids to after school activities (football, baseball, karate), cooking meals, cleaning the house, helping with homework...etc etc. Oh and the biggest job, taking care of the husband, whom I love dearly but we all know how men are  ! Of course us moms love every single minute of being a mom and we wouldnt trade it for the world but sometimes at least I know I do, get frustrated and stressed because I feel that there are not enough hours in the day and by the time bedtime gets here I am so exhausted and just want to crawl in bed and sleep! I am trying my hardest to take time out of my day for myself even if it is only an hour. I know that I need this for myself and to keep my sanity! I have a hard time doing this though because with me, my children always come first and I come last! My husband is amazing and I am starting to realize that he doesnt mind me taking time for myself because he knows that "If mamma aint happy no ones happy"!!!! I have to let go at times and let him deal with the kids and realize that they will survive without mom for an hour!! Since I have been on MFP I have been doing way better with taking care of myself, taking time every day to exercise has really helped me feel better about myself but I still have a long ways to go!! Would love to hear from other moms who know how I feel and can relate!!

I hear ya! I am married, have 2 kids ages 5 and 8 and I work full time. I have 2 dogs and we have a lot of extracurricular activities (dance, volunteering etc). My biggest issue is that I seriously find little time or energy to exercise. I need a few more hours in the day and some crack! LOL, just kidding about the crack but seriously, I am so tired by the time I get everybody in bed at night I just want to curl up in the fetal position and rock back and forth LOL. Feel free to add me, we can support each other!0

I am in the same spot. I cook, clean, do finances, take care of lil man(kid) and big man(hubs), do PTO meetings and help at the school, garden, take care of pets, garden, Shoot I even have a Work-from-home job. I am tired so often. I am up from 6 am (time to get kid up and ready for school) till about 10-11pm (time my husband goes to bed). It is rare when I can find time for myself to take care of myself.
This year I am taking care of me for a change, Making time to better me and to enjoy what little time I have to myself, instead of devoting it towards house, kid, husband.....etc. This summer I am going to be more outgoing with the kid and we are going to get out more and have fun. At least this is the plan (it will probably work up until the temps go over 100).0 -
I can certainly relate! I have three kids almost 15, almost 13 and almost 12. I have put off exercise for years now and I have gained back most of the weight that I fought so hard to lose after my youngest was born. I am so grateful that this summer my kids have decided to not play a sport so hopefully I won't make excuses for the not having the time to exercise! I have only started back on this journey and have loved this site for encouragement and support. I have also re-joined our local TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) group for additional accountability. The only problem with it, is that I think I might be the youngest person there and I'm 43!! I'm not sure how to add friends, etc.. but you are more than welcome to add me!0

I completely understand. Between all of my doctor appointments (I am battling breast cancer), working 40 hours per week, 2 kids (ages 6 and 1) and my hubby --- life is crazy. It is hard to find the time. Joining a gym is completely out of the question. I just don't have spare time while the gyms near me are open. I pretty much have to wait until everyone else has gone to bed. Can't we just add a few extra hours to the day??0

Oh I hear ya about not having any energy or time, oh and the crack...LOL. j/k! But man do I feel drained by the end of the day! Just wish I had more energy, I try to do my workout first thing in the morning because if I dont then I just might not get one in since I am so busy! I know excuses right! Like my husband always tells our kids "Excuses are like butts, everyone has one just some are bigger then others" !!! So I joined MFP to hopefully get rid of the excuses and help get motivated!!0

Us Moms have so much in common! I started making time for myself, but it is hard...I can workout without interuption, anytime after 8:30pm...maybe 9pm. I am a working mom with 3 kids (8,5,and 3) and a hubbie who works a rotating night shift..:ohwell: , and its hard making any extra time for myself in the morning...
But I love it here on MFP...Good luck!0 -
My kids aren't quite old enough (1 & 3) for school and activties yet and I am barely able to keep up now. My husband doesn't do much to help with the kids and I work full time, so I totally understand! My house is a wreck. I need a bubble bath and a massage.0
