As above really does it matter which day of the week you weigh in or is there such a thing as a better time to do so?

I weigh on a tues
Monday is right after the weekend where depening on what I have been up to I may have eaten more or less than usual during it.0 -
i like to weigh in friday morning after i have been doing well all week.. double check myself on monday morning after i splurge on weekends lol
I personally check the scale close to everyday. sometimes i record more frequently if there's a loss. it doesn't really matter. because it's all about YOU! and what YOUR needs are. so find what u are comfortable with.0 -
I think you have to pic whats right for you..... I do worse on the weekends with certain foods, especially ones higher in Sodium.. so, I weigh in on Friday mornings. I always weigh in first thing in the morning, straight out of bed and after hitting the toilet (TMI, I know) but it helps ensure I get the most accurate each time I weigh in. I also try to step on the scale in just underwear....... but its just whatever works for you.0

I usually weigh in every other week on a Monday, but that's just habit. Whatever works for you
Also, I weigh around 6pm (after I get in from work). Most people seems to record their morning weigh in's but I always found I am heavier in the mornings - water retention I guess.0 -
I weigh in randomly - once a week usually but I do it on diff days.xx0

everyday im a scale *kitten* for my scale and i refused rehab. but truth it keeps me accountable. i measure once a week too0

I record daily, in the morning, after shedding 1/4 lb .... and track it so I can get a running trend on a graph. My official weigh in is Tuesday night at Weight Watcher meeting - it tends to be +6lb's heavier than the morning weigh in with the clothes on, no shoes.0
-
My first weigh in will be Tuesday and I've been making an effort not to go near a scale until then. I tend to get discouraged if I haven't lost any weight so I want to give myself a whole week in between weigh-ins.0
-
Every saturday morning, same time, same clothes, same scales!! Gives me an accurate benchmark as to my weightloss / gain.0
-
I weigh in every day and log all losses but no gains. I report my official loss on MFP every Friday morning. This really works well for me because I am always able to catch an upward trend before it gets too far. I also make minor adjustments to my daily diet depending on how I am trending. This works well for me but really is not for everyone.0

Today was my 1st weigh in so from now on I'll always weigh in on a Friday morning. Although I seem to be on the scales every day!0
-
Weds am for me. I try to avoid stepping on the scales on other days, but sometimes I can't help myself. Only log Weds weight though.0

Sunday morning, after breakfast and before a big Sunday Dinner + pudding! But only every other week or every third week. I am good at not weighing myself and don't tend to feel tempted in between - and i find it helps my motivation to see a loss at most weigh-ins.0
-
hahaha I have to admit I am on the scale everyday......but I go and weigh in at the mall every friday evening,.
I guess its up to you. Good luck

I weigh in every Friday morning and log it here. I often have a sneaky check on a Monday morning too, but that's it.0

I only joined a few days ago but have decided a friday morning will work best for me. 2lb off already so very happy with that0
-
I weigh in on a tuesday morning...if i go on the wii fit board it weighs me but i dont log it just helps me to decide if i should try harder or if im doing just right0

I am one of those freaks that weigh every work day. I dont own a scale so I weigh myself as soon as I get to work. The day to day fluctuations do not bother me and I only log on Wednesday.0

There is no real set day of the week that is better. It depends what works for you. Just keep the cirumstances in which you weigh the same. I generally weigh in on friday morning, that way I have the weekend to indulg a little and get back on track for the next weigh in without beating myself up about it or getting discouraged.0

I weigh in 1 x a day first thing in the morning0

This is exactly what I do. Friday works well for the "official" weigh in.
BTW beesareyellow, love your adipose picture!0 -
I *used* to weigh in on a Friday, simply because that's the day I started, but since I need to lose weight for our next FC appointment with the awful consultant, I do actually step on the scales every day *hangs head in shame as I used to tell people not to do that* so I know where I am and what I need to do! I think Monday is probably going to be for me when I go back to a once weekly weigh in, as it will stop me from the weekend naughties, whereas Friday encourages me if I have I lost, it gives me "reason" to do it, but doesn't really work as then I will probably see a gain again afterwards
Also always weigh in the morning after going to the loo and wearing my birthday suit :laugh:0 -

I am thinking of changing my weighing day to a Friday now after reading all this- it does make sense to weigh before the weekend and after a week's good eating!0
-
I weigh every day-ish. my official log weight day is saturday morning. 1st thing always in birthday suit! I do weigh on monday morning to see whar damage the weekend has done! This weekend will be a bad one. Friends to stay= drinking til late, yummy puddings and food.
I cant help it I am the hostess with the mostest!!! :ohwell:0 -
I know this is bad but I have been weighing almost every day.
Im in a couple different challenges so I weight wednesday for one and friday for another. Im also doing ww and weigh on Saturdays.
b4 I really got going on my weight loss I would weigh on friday b4 the weekend bc I always slip up on the weekends. I really should do it on mondays so I feel bad about the weekend and I change my eatting habits0 -
i would never weigh in on a monday in case I've been out on weekend! I tend to weigh daily, but Friday is my official day. That gives me incentive to stick to my plan Monday to Friday even if weekend takes me a little off track.0

Hello, how are you? Once a week is better than everyday...My suggestion is pick the same day and time every week. Also, go to the bathroom before you weigh yourself....I dropped a whole pound after using the bathroom....Yeah!...lost 2.2 in one week,....;0)0

I weigh myself every day..realizing that fluctuations are normal..but at least it gives me a heads up whether or not I am on the right track. I would hate to wait a week or heaven forbid a month and find out my food choices aren't working the way I thought they would.
I only "check in" on Friday..that way I can take a little pressure off myself ..for instance I have "real cream and real sugar" in my coffee only on Fridays. I also signed up for a stupid challenge..just kidding..it really isn't stupid but does put a damper on my weekend! LOL. That weigh in day is on Sunday but I just record it on the post ..don't "check in" on MFP. It does keep me on track so I will try hard to not drink or eat out on Saturday nights.
Good luck to you.. I am sure you will figure out what works best for you.0 -
I started at 430 pounds on Jan 30th, and I haven't weighed myself since March 4th, 2011 when I was 413 pounds.
I have been trying on old clothes that didn't fit but now they do. I can tell you my jeans are like 3 sizes to big now, and falling off of me. I'm guessing I'm in the 370 range. I say weigh in once a week twice at most, any more and you are OCD.
I find that the number on the scale is just something we obsess about, not knowing I think makes me work harder. I feel better now that I am exercising and people tell me almost daily now, how good I'm looking which is a good feeling.0
