Hi, I'm Net. I'm looking to lose quite a bit of weight to help control my newly developed Type 2 Diabetes. Would appreciate any encouragement and advice. Good luck to us all.

Hi Net, I'm new too. I'm just going to lay it all out there, because my growing fitness is more important than past weight. I'm 55, weight 214 now. I've tried everything and I have lost 80 pounds before. Of course I put it all back on. I've always lost weight through starvation and maybe just a little workout time. Now, it has dawned on me that, at 55, I have to start moving my body or I'm going to be one of those elderly people who falls down and yells "Help me, I can't get up." I don't want that...at all. Plus, what kind of achievement would it be at 55 to lose 60 - 80 pounds? I've seen people do it. If they can do it, I can do it. If I can do it, you can do it.0
