Day 2 of 30 Day Shred

Omgosh this workout is HARD. I am NOT fit at all. I can't do all of the cardio ... yet.
Day 2 was worse than Day 1.
The workout is actually very enjoyable, and even though JM typically makes my skin crawl, I find her style in this video to be very encouraging.
I look forward to a day next week sometime when I can at least do ALL of Level 1 without pausing at all. Right now, I have to take tiny pauses with almost every switch.
I don't see myself getting to Level 2 anytime soon.
I really, really, really like this workout so far. I am a little bit sore, but not crazy, I can't even walk sore (which would totally turn me off).
Just some thoughts.

Well, you're doing better than I did if you made it to day 2. When I woke up on day 2 I could barely move! I haven't done it again since. I really need to, but i'm a chicken. I couldn't walk for 5 days after doing day 1 of JM 30ds with out yelping in pain!0

Keep up the good work. I started the video on the 1st. I have missed a couple of days though this month. I think level 2 is actually even more fun then level 1 and I am not fit at all! If you add in a daily walk you will feel a burn in your buns. Good luck!0

I am on my second round of JM 30DS. The first time I tried to do level 2 but it was too much for me so stuck to Level 1 for the 30 days which actually took me about 55 days to do. I have now done 10 days of level 1 took 12 days. I'm hoping to try level 2 tomorrow but if its still to much for me, I will happily stick to level 1. Gives me a good workout and I like how it makes me feel. The first round of cardio, (jumping jacks and jump rope) I still find hard to get through. Good luck to you, but do listen to your body and only move on when ready and take rest days.0

I am on day 15, day 5 of level 2. It's intense!!! But it will get easier. Are you trying to do it every single day? I did level 1 for 10 days straight, then took 2 days off before starting level 2. I will do it for 10 days straight and take another 2 off before starting level 3. Some days are harder than others, and on those days I modify a lot of the moves, but I figure, hey at least I did it! Keep it up!0

I enjoy the video, having a lot of trouble with jumping jacks..I HATE jumping jacks.. Anyone using heart monitor when doing the 30DS?? mine was way off yesterday not sure waht is going on so i ended up taking the general cal burn that MFP calulated...which was 254. my heart monitor said 400!! i know i didnt burn 4000

I couldn't do day 2 either, so I stepped it up at the gym i will try again, the quadriceps muscles were killing me, I work physically and i couldn't work that sore. maybe if you try every other day until you can to get them used to it?0

I'm on day 7 today. Doing OK, but my knee is hurting. Think I may stick with butt kicks, jump rope and punches and sub one for the jumping jacks until my knee feels better. It is the lateral movement that hurts. I tried level two a few years ago and just about died just watching it.0

I just did day one...it's so tough! The cardio was fine, it was the lunges and the arms that were sore. I wore my hrm and it said I burnt 326 calories. Does that sound right? I only just got my polar ft4 and not sure what to be expecting!0

Thanks for all of the support you guys! I kind of felt like a loser when I couldn't do all of the cardio - I mean, cmon, 2 minutes? But I am looking forward to the day when I can do it all. Will post an update here when I do.0

I bought 30 Day Shred a few months ago. I never finished it though. I made to day 11 or 12 and for some unknown reason stopped. Well, I bought Insanity recently and am on Day 10 of that. Along with that, I sometimes do 30 Day Shred. I've been stuck on level 1 forever! I'm too scared to move on to level 2!0

I wasn't too sore Day 2, but Day 3 I could barely move..I skipped for like 5 days! I then did Level 1 for 11 days, then switched to Level 2, and did that for 6 days or so in a row, sometimes doing level 1 after. I didn't seem to get too sore after the initial "OMG I am crippled!" on Day 3. I've kind of abandoned the 30DS everyday because I'm doing her other videos as well, but I'm doing it a few times a week still. It really does work!0

The first few times you do Level 1, it hurts. The more you do it, you'll be surprised how quickly your body will adapt to it. I'm on Day 9 of Level 2 and I have to admit that it has been hard! It feels like my butt has been on fire the entire time. Haha. Just keep with it b/c I think you'll be surprised on how much you'll be able to do in such a short amount of time!! (P.S. I do STILL hate jumping jacks).0

I love to hate it and look forward to doing it every time!
I love how she says "just a couple more" talks then says 5 more, 4 3 Push it out 2 and 1
A couple turns into 10! Love how fast it moves too, straight from abs to weights etc.
I don't have problems with the card, more of balance with the forward lunge!
Love love love it!!
