Not sure how to ask this, so I'll do the best I can. When I first started on here I had to put in my info and they calculated how many calories I should eat a day which is about 1900 calories a day. Now that was with three days of excercise and 30 minutes a day. I've been doing a lot more then that and burning a whole lot more calories then I was expecting to. My question is for example on a day where I burn lest say 1100 calories can I go over my 1900 hundred calories a little and it not hurt me. Because when I put in those hard workouts in and burn all those extra calories I'm starving, doesn't matter how much water I drink to try to block some of the hunger.

How many calories are you supposed to eat when you are not exercising?
I would say that you should eat most of your exercise burned calories. All you need is a dificiency of 500 per day and you are still on track.
So for example, lets say that you are 'allowed' to eat 1900 calories a day (without having to exercise) but you did burn 1100 calories....you are technically allowed to eat those extra 1000 calories and still be able to lose weight.
If the site gave you the 1900 calories a day, they have probably already totalled your 500 calories less a day.
So I would think that exercising is your form of a treat....exercising allows you to eat more food and still lose weight.

If 1900 was your calories allowed based off of the information you first entered that 1900 is what you are supposed to eat if you were to only do your normal activity. If you exercise you get additional calories to eat. If you enter your food on the site you will see that after you exercise it will tell you how many more calories you can eat for the day.0

Thanks for the info, I wasn't really sure. Like I said I've been hitting it hard and only eating my 1900 calories and I've been starving to death. Though I've managed to stay on track, maybe it'll help me if I eat a little more.0

when you eat is as important as what you eat. are you eating the right portion of carbs and protein before and after your workouts. are you eating empty carbs, or solid ones full of fiber? what does your protein intake look like? www. bodybuilding.com has some fantastic nutrition info in regards to workouts. good luck0

I don't think you should starve yourself. it is all about making the right decisions, isn't it. Isn't that why we are all in our respective predicaments, because we dont really make the right decisions all of the time.
Have some good healthy foods available for those times when you just need to eat.
And if you've burned 1000+ calories in a day, I really think you should be eating back most of it.0
