Hiya, I have 2 slices of wholemeal toast with a little bit of cheese spread on each of them, a banana and a cup of green tea. It's quite filling but I'm not sure whether or not it's fattening..Help?

All food is right. MFP teaches you to watch portion sizes and calories. How many calories does this breakfast add up to?

P.S. you gain weight when you take in more calories than you expend in a day. A perfect breakfast, eaten ten times over, would make you gain weight.

Well today I felt too full to eat the banana, so without it - my breakfast added up to about 246 cals.

    Is it right for what?

It's not right for me as it's tiny! I like to eat more volume, I also don't eat meals based nearly completely around carbs - prefer a good hit of protein in every meal - and I prefer fruit/vegie carbs over grains (more vegie than fruit), especially when dieting as I like to know I'm getting plenty of nutrients and lots of food.

    But, that's me. Not you.

If you find it delicious and filling then it is right for you. Personally I like eggs and toast and maybe a breakfast sausage patty.

agree with others. if it fits into your daily calorie goals, keeps you feeling full and gives you the energy you need, then it is right for you! I usually have a whole wheat english muffin with all natural ham or turkey, extra thin slice of all natural swiss chees, and an egg. homemade mcmuffin basically. keeps me going for a long time.

I'm sort of in this camp as well. Although I get by on fairly small breakfasts at my desk. But FOR ME, I would opt for one slice of toast before I ditched the fruit. Although yes, yes- bananas have carbs as well, but in general I would use the calories from the extra slice of bread for fruit, and/or more protein. A slice of ham with the cheese spread, or some PB for instance.

Have you tried banana on toast. You could just have one slice of bread and eaten with a knife and fork it may feel as good a meal. I drizzle a tiny bit of honey on. Delicious.
