So last Dec I got my first smart phone ever,(android) and a few weeks ago I got a fitbit zip. I've been exploring the world of fitness apps and I'm overwhelmed! Where do I even start?
In the past I used the sparkpeople website, but I haven't used it in a long time, and my fitness pal certainly has the better mobil interface, but that's my history.
I'm a low energy person, with medical problems, but ok to work out moderately. I actually need to drop 50-60 pounds for health. Excess fat not good for livers.
I'm interested to find out what fitness apps everyone uses, especially if you also have a fitbit, and how you sync it all, and where you record what! Thanks!

Just go to apps above and install the fitbit app from the choices and everything should sync. I have a fitbit zip and love the way it works with my fitness pal.

Aside note, you will need to figure out your calories, set them. Get a scale and measure your food. And it's really that simple. You can tweak your plan as you go. Good luck to you.

Remember not to run your fitbit through the laundry. That will ruin your whole day!

You can learn more (and find Fitbit friends) in the Fitbit Users group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users

    Connect your accounts: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit

Log food & drink in MFP. No need to log any step-based activity—Fitbit tracks it for you. Log non-step exercise (like swimming or biking) either in Fitbit (that's what I do) or in MFP—never both.
