Hello I am 20 years old and 6'1 238 which categorizes me as obese but I don't feel obese I have good energy for my size. I have man boobs that I hate and need to get rid of fortunately they stick out rather then laying down I have lost around 3 pounds recently by my miniature diet I will list my usual diet through out the past few weeks
Breakfast:
Option one: wawa medium oatmeal a yogurt and banana
Option two: gnc total lean shake yogurt and a banana
Lunch: wendys small chili and a salad
Peanut butter and jelly on wheat and a glass of milk
Dinner salad with chicken strips and some corn or peas
Snacks: more fruit
My question is how bad is my diet?? Can't afford anything to crazy I'm a college student. I will be starting insanity this week any changes I should make to my diet? ?? Is it okay to use the total lean and a fruit for a replacement to a meal or even two???should I add anything? ????

Hello, and welcome!
Are you using MFP to count the calories you consume?0 -
I'm 6'3" and 235 (as of today). If I use my own body to judge, you could probably stand to drop 30 or so pounds, maybe more.
But that's OK! The choice is up to you. If you'd like to trim up and lose some fat, calories in/calories out is the way to go. If you're like me in college, beer and pizza will be your nemesis. You can have those things, but you will need to watch how much of that stuff you consume.
At 20 years old, you can get away with more than you'll be able to at 35. (Trust me.)
However, it's far easier for you to lose fat now, at 20, than it will be as you age.
TO LOSE WEIGHT:
Create a calorie deficit.
Yeah, that's it.
Bourbon is 69 calories an ounce. PBR is 95 per 12 oz can. Wild Turkey American Honey is 60 per oz. OK....so I drink too much. But for real, pay attention to the booze. Get in some exercise. Whatever games you young whippersnappers play these days.
Best of luck.

Your diet seems better than a lot of college students I know. Try for balance and fuel - enough protein, 5-9 servings (typically a half cup tho' it's considered a sin to measure anything besides liquids in a cup lol) and a couple of servings of whole grain unless you have allergies or something. Also consider that you need calcium so if you are not eating dairy load up more on calcium-rich vegetables like leafy greens, or broccoli, or beans (also a good source of protein and fiber). Replacing a meal with a protein shake is not just awful if the alternative is worse
