Anyone notice that the verified grocery banana has 0mg of potassium? What's up with that? I used that unknowingly for a little while. But now I just use the market verified banana.

But anyways I am trying to find ways to increase my potassium intake while not having to take a vitamin AND not going over my sugar goal. I have found this to be a seemingly impossible task. What are some ways to increase potassium without also going over your sugar limit?

banana - USDA. Do that. being "verified" doesn't mean jack *kitten*, particularly when a lot of people only care about the calories and not other micro or macro-nutrients.

It is pretty rare to be potassium deficient and you should only use a supplement if you've had blood work done and a doctor has verified you are deficient.

Just google high potassium foods if you're really concerned. Potato is one of my favorite sources and I drink coconut water after a good workout and I drink a low sodium V8 daily.

Fish: Halibut, cod, rockfish, trout, salmon and yellowfin tuna all have significant potassium and low carbs.
Beef sirloin, chicken and turkey all contain potassium
    White beans
    Dark, leafy greens (spinach!!!)
Baked potato (but that is a carb)
    Baked acorn squash
