Do you ever think - going to the effort of programming a bot to spam wouldn't be done for nothing, and that therefore some people must actually fall for it? That makes me sad. Sad for humans.

getting a bit sick of waking up to forums full of spam. I spend more time flagging than I do reading.

There should be some kind of automated system whereby if you get 2 threads deleted from spam flags then your account is locked until admin can review it or something. At least make them have to do a bit more legwork and slow down the spam.

A simple human test during signup is a good idea like "what's the 3rd word of this sentence" or something similar. Capcha can be overridden by capcha human farms. At least this way spammers would have to sign up manually which may slow them down a bit.
