Disappointed in myself..

On Monday I ran 4 miles. On Wednesday I ran 3 miles. I wanted to do another 3 miles today to get in 10 miles for the week..but when I got to the gym I just didn't feel like running. I said this morning how I could use a good run to get out all my frustrations (so I had the motivation)..but I didn't do it. I just felt like walking. And now that I'm home from the gym I feel very disappointed that I didn't run.
And while I'm on this rant or whatever you wanna call it.. I was really good with my food for a while, but lately I've been eating like a "gavone" as my friend at work would say, and that's totally unlike me around this time of year. I tend to eat a little more here and there through the winter, but once spring comes I usually slow down a bit and drop those extra few winter pounds, but lately I just can't seem to say no and it's becoming frustratint. And now I'm slacking on my exercise too?! I need to get my *kitten* together..

First of all, don't be so hard on yourself. Second of all... how about this:
Today is almost over. Tomorrow is another day, another opportunity to begin, a fresh start. If you only do one thing tomorrow to make it better than today you are successful. So, tomorrow, when you wake up, just set a small goal for yourself to accomplish one thing more than you did today and keep on doing that.. every day! Pretty soon you will be back on track!

I did that last month -got in a funk and now Im trying to get back in the swing. I stuck with counting and exercise but not a strict as I should be to get my last 8 lbs.
Much better this week (minus this eve - 3 Porters - OOPS!) and down a few pounds, YAY!

You gotta find your motivation button and push it :) Mine was UH OH - vacation coming sooner than I thought LOL

this happened to me and is currently happening again. try biking or something instead. maybe your body just needs a break. don't force it.

I used to beat myself up about skipping a run, but I've found that some days it's good to listen to your body and do something else. I ran a half marathon 2 months ago, and there were some days that I just refused to run when I was training. I would do the elliptical or try to run and end up walking instead. I did great in the race, and I listened to my body when training. If you don't feel like running after 3 days of good running, give yourself a break. It's good to mix things up so don't be so hard on yourself. As far as the eating goes, I have been on a downward slope for the past 6 months. I have been eating junk food and processed food like crazy which caused me to gain 10 pounds. I honestly began to feel that I was addicted to carbs and processed foods, and yesterday I saw an episode of Dr. Oz that was about being addicted to carbs lol. I have to be very careful with sweets, carbs, and processed food or I'll let myself get out of control. I have to completely eliminate some foods sometimes to get back on track. But I just let myself run with it for a while, and now I'm back to where I need to be. It happens!!! You are your worst critic so lighten up :)
