I'm soooo gutted :noway:
Inspired by the warmer weather I've just started dieting ...again after quite a long break
I've been really good and sticking to between 14 and 15 hundred calories a day, I've exercised (albeit gently) every day.
I was quite excited when I got on the scales today, thinking the first week of dieting you alway seem to lose loads and guess what. I've not lost an ounce.
How does that happen?

Try not to be too discouraged. Keep at it and you will see a drop. Don't give up.0

I know how you feel but honestly, not everyone loses after a week, wait till after next week and make a judgement, what time of the day are you weighing? and also, and please forgive me for assuming, but if im guesing you are female, if you are close to your TOM then fluid retention might be the cause of a blip!!

It's not easy but try not to get down on yourself. Keep up the great work and think of that instead of the scale. Try to create NSV. (non scale victories) These are very inspiring. Take measurements as well and look for the positives things you are already doing to change your life. It will happen, but please don't give up!:happy:0

This.
A week is the average amount of time that it takes for your body to gain or lose weight. Not everyone will see a change in a week. For some it takes only a 4-5 days, for others it takes 10-12 days. I would just keep at it for another week. If nothing changes after that second week, take a look at what you are doing. For example, should you be eating more than 1500 calories or should you be eating less? Are you counting the food correctly? Are you counting exercise calories correctly? Etc.0 -
When the scales don't move, it's nice to have measurements taken to see if you've lost there. And when there's no loss (or even a gain!), you just have to remember that HEALTH is the reason to keep going. Good luck--I know it's so frustrating!
