scale wont budge

Im 5'5 , 273 lbs. Mfp says to eat 1630 cal, but i dont know how much carbs, protein, or fat to be eating. I need to lose 130 lbs. I have the chance to have gastric sleeve , but i wanted to try and lose it on my own. Any help is appreciated.

    To lose weight, eat what MFP says to eat. You don't need to worry a lot about how much comes from carbs, protein, and fat, though it is a good idea to aim for nutritional meals, since eating at a deficit means you have less food to get your nutrients from.

    Agreed dont worry about macros, focus on your deficit.
    You can lose on your own, but you need to log and weigh your food so you are at deficit.

    My tip: Buy a kitchen scale and weigh everything you eat.. You can't just eyeball it or guess.

    Start by hitting your calorie goal. The rest pretty much falls into place.
