Hi everyone! I've been using MFP for ages but like a couple of you hadn't joined the community pages! Actually I didn't even know they were here! I'm trying to get back in shape and would love some motivation and tips! Please feel free to add me! X

Hiya! I am new to this as well. My son put together a "it's not a diet, mom, it's a nutrition plan" for me. I love that. I have become 5 pounds lighter, and quite a lot healthier.
The key is to eat breakfast as soon as you get out of bed, also eat lots of lean protein. Eat your carbs before 4 PM. Use fat free foods like cottage cheese and a banana drizzled with raw honey for nighttime snacks. Eat tons of fresh baby greens with Balsamic vinagairette and cucumbers.
I am working hard to make a variety of tasty meals. I eat a lot of spaghetti squash with real butter and fat free shredded Parmesan.

I am 54 and intend to enjoy at least 30 more years of life.
