Hey does anybody know of any good gluten free recipe website or blogs that they could recommend to me? I've found a fair few through google and instagram but I was wondering if you guys knew of any. Thanks :)

chocolate covered katie (desserts, not all but many are gf or can be adjusted.) About.com has a gfree recipe section. skinnytaste.com does also, I think. Don't forget, many recipes can be adjusted if the amounts of flour aren't too much (ie, for breading or thickening) by subbing in gf flour or cornstarch. I changed my chicken (daughter has celiac) by sprinkling parmesan cheese & dried herbs on chicken, & baking, instead of bread crumbs. Meat, potatoes, rice, dairy, veggies & fruit are all naturally gf. Use gf commercial products sparingly -- they tend to be higher in calories & lower in fiber & nutrients than the standard counterparts.

I get a lot of recipes from pinterest. Gluten free recipes usually still have sugar and such so if you are dieting, try searching paleo recipes. For flours I use almond or coconut flours but you can also use rice flour and there are so many recipes using quinoa, rice, and oats to get your gluten free grains in.

"Gluten-free on a Shoestring" is on Pinterest, FB & also has several cook books published. Her "Better than cup 4 cup" GF flour recipe is outstanding. Not gritty at all & cooks up wonderfully.

Try Pamela's baking mix as a substitute for recipes calling for flour. Makes great pancakes!!! Already has the zanthan gum and other gf ingredients mixed in it which will save you $ in the long run. Keep it stores in a plastic baggie in the freezer since it is lacking preservatives.

I second Elana'a Pantry and Gluten Free on a Shoestring too. Those are great sites.
