The only bad thing is you will only feel worse after you eat it! That's usually what happens to me lol. We want it even more when we know we shouldn't have it.0

Man, do I ever know what you mean.....lol0 -
Would it be bad if you made your own? Lean ground beef is okay, no? You could control the calories by choosing your own toppings and that would help to get rid of the cravings I would think.0

eat one... count it... no big deal0

Eat it, log it, move on. Make sure to fit it into your daily allotment, and don't stress it0

This. This is a lifestyle, not a diet. Eat one, log it and move on. (just go somewhere where you know exactly what the calories are). No big deal. Deprivation only leads to quitting.0 -
I ate one, Jack in the box, about 3 days ago and still lost 2 pnds this week! Im not saying do it every week! But once in a while is not going to derail you. And if you continue to deny yourself the craving will get worse. Drink lots of water and try to work it into your calories for the day!!! It can be done. MODERATION is key!0

So true...I am trying really hard. I feel like anytime I have something even slightly bad my body holds onto it for a week. I don't know if I still have a slower metabolism or what but I just don't burn off the bad quickly.0
-
I also really think thier is something to the zig zagging of calories. I was at a platue for about two weeks. Took the suggestion to zig zag and BAM! the pounds starting coming off again.0
-
I understand. Sometimes I want a Wendy's single with cheese and NOTHING else will do. When it gets that bad, I just do it and behave the rest of the day.0
-
so i have a trick when I am craving a cheeseburger....it works for me and sounds silly but anyways when I think of a cheeseburger I usually can remember the smell and taste of the pickles....grab a pickle!!! its only 5 calories and honestly well to me....feels like you are actually eating a cheeseburger!0

I agree with the ppl that say eat one. Make it at home and enjoy. Log it and exercise. I eat what I want (within reason) and exercise. It's been working for me so far. Just don't go over board. Everything in moderation.0

love this site sooo supportive! i eat what i want, usually i make my menu for the day and put it in here! if i'm over my calories i adjust so that i can have the burger!0
-
P.S. lost 4 pounds this week even with the burger!0
-
I agree with everyone else who says eat one! I've never been able to stick to anything cause I would let the cravings get the better of me. You can't deprive yourself of cheeseburgers for the rest of your life!! The other day I was craving Taco Bell like mad so I went and got what I was craving for. I had behaved myself so well that day that I was still under my calorie goal and I was happy cause I had Taco Bell.0

I'm making my own cheese burgers tonight
Lean beef mince, onion, mushrooms and an egg, mixing them all together, make patties, cook and enjoy!0 -

You'll probably hold onto the sodium for a couple of days (so don't weigh yourself). Just drink A BUNCH of water over the next couple of days.0 -

Calories are TOTAL, not net. Basically, you're confusing your body so it doesn't go into starvation mode (by having high and low days).0 -
I agree with going out and eating one. We all work hard and deserve to treat ourselves sometimes. Log it in and be good the rest of the week.0
-
So eat one its not that big of a deal0
-
What's wrong with that? Just have one! This is a life change...something u want to do for the rest of your life...ur more apt to fail if u deprive urself of what u want. If I were to do this, id order it with no mayo (or spread that contains mayo) and order a single patty one, not some triple patty thing... I've lost 32lbs in 75 days, I've had burgers 3x, I've went out to eat a minimum of once a week (usually 2x, sometimes as much as 4), I've went out for drinks probably 10x, yadda yadda. This, again, is about living ur life...if u don't have enough calories u shouldn't be eating it, and if its a must have, do an extra workout to gain calories0

Just wanna say all the responses on this thread have ROCKED and you people are awesome!!! I like to see common sense in the forums once in a while! LOL0

Eat it, ENJOY IT, log it, and make it fit, either by exercising more or adjusting your other meals.
I made burgers twice last week. Pizza twice last week. And still hit my weight loss target.0 -
If it's only once in a while, a small cheeseburger won't hurt. But get the small one (the size they put in kid's meals), no fries, and water, and eat it slowly, with small bites, and savoring every bit. You'll find yourself as satisfied afterwards as if you wolfed down a quarter pounder or more. Enter it into your food diary, then eat fruits and veggies for the rest of the day. Craving satisfied (so it's not going to attack with more fury later on) and you can stay under your calories, or very close.0

Mmm I made myself a yummy homemade cheeseburger yesterday (leftovers today ). No added salt, and used cabbage leaves as the bread. So good, you'd have thought it was bad for you. But, nope, it wasn't and low cals! I brought some over to my mom and she vowed to never eat burgers with bread anymore as she loved this version much better!0
