Hair straighteners?

I'm looking to drop $100-$200 for a really nice ceramic hair straightener. I have wavy hair, so it doesn't take a whole lot. But I'm tired of using the cheapo flat iron. What's a good one out there that will last me years? Thanks!

Maybe instead of an iron you can drop that cash on a Brazilian Blowout.0

find a coriolis for way less on ebay... i paid $90 when they first came out... i think u can get em like 30 on ebay... ceramic & produces negative ions which produce shine. i've used mine for years and a;ways get great compliments on my hair.0

I bought mine at pure beauty in california, I don't remember what it's called, because after like 6 years it broke.. which is well worth the 200 I spent on it.. I have one of my sister's right now that she had extra of, but I ended up getting a brazilian blowout last year, and I actually just have to blow dry my hair, and then I take a very high end curling iron and just go over really quick. I got the curling iron at the same place, it was about 160..0

spookily enough my computer must have read your post cause the advert was for GHDs. And that was exactly what I was going to say to you ..... do you have GHDs over there?
My hair goes wild at the slightest moisture (think Monica in Friends) but my GHDs are amazing, and I can do it once and it stays straight til I next wash my hair 2 or 3 days later (it gets greasy before the frizz returns).0 -
i have a ultra chi and i LOVE it. I also just have wavy hair..but it frizzy alot..
Look at ULTA..they usually have sales on their chi or ultra chi stuff. I use mine with Got2be flat iron spray and my hair stays straight all day! Which is NOT the norm for me.0 -
I have a Chi and an Isobeauty Sunshine Girl. Both do the trick.0

I had to look that up... that just doesn't sound safe! I'd be scared!0 -

Brazilian Blowouts are only temporary, are they not? And from what I've read, it damages your hair alot. Atleast with a flat iron you can use heat protectants to protect your hair.0 -
i bought the Solaris straightner on folica.com for $80. I have thick wavy hair and it works real good and I get to straighten my hair fast. Temp goes to 450 degrees I think. Plus, it makes my hair all shiny! I also bring it for my friends at work one has long think hair (she is Samoan) and her hair gets all nice and shiny, and the another one has super curly hair but all that frizz and curl straightens out. I browsed through folica.com to get a better idea. GOodluck!0
