not losing as much as I used to

I've done a fresh food diet a million times in the past and I've always lost about 10 lbs in the first week. This time, however, I'm pairing it with actual exercise as opposed to just walking 2 miles or counting calories burned from food prep. I am slowly going through some treats that my kids got me for mother's day, but I haven't been totally binging and I'm still under my calorie limit each day. I'm happy about my 3 lbs lost so far this week, and I know that weight loss is a long, hard journey. I'm just wondering if I'm losing the weight slower than before because I'm also gaining muscle or because I've been indulging a little here and there?

3lb loss of real weight (not water / glycogen because of a calorie restriction) is a MASSIVE loss.
As long as the overall trend is downwards, then all is good !

3 lbs loss in a week is actually a pretty big loss. When you were losing 10lb in a week in the past the majority of that would have been water weight (which is why it kept coming back).
Most people will not sustain 3lb per week losses on an ongoing basis - a healthy rate of fat loss is 0.5-2lb per week (depending on how much you have to lose).0 -
I've done long term diets before and I've lost up to 60lbs in the past, I'm just used to losing a lot more water weight in the first week is all. The only reason my weight keeps coming back is because I keep getting knocked up. Lol. Otherwise, I'm really good at maintaining whatever weight I am at. The bad thing is I always gain a lot with each baby and then I maintain *that* weight for a year.0

If your at a calroie deficit it's impossible to gain fat. And it's ok to have a treat as long as it's in moderation. Sounds like your doing everything right if you lost three pounds a week. There are some weeks the scale will drop others it will go up. Don't pay to much attention to the scale. Enjoy the journey of getting fit0
