Hi all, I've just started using this app and I'm quite happy with the way things are going. However, I'm going back to work tonight and i do nightshift so I'm a little confused what to take with me? Any ideas? I hate salad and fruit so no point even thinking about them! Cheers ☺️

Take whatever you would normally eat? And then eat it at nighttime?

Suppose it all depends what resources you have at work! Oven, hob, microwave, toaster, etc??

Most of the shift workers I know are big fans of meal prepping, regardless if they are trying to lose weight. Making a bunch of crock pot ready meals that you can pull out of the freezer and putting on low before you go to work can be really helpful for curbing the urge to grab junk on your way home, and having your lunches pre-packed makes getting out the door a lot easier. There are tons of meal prepping resources online, and even lots of YouTube videos dedicated to helping if you prefer videos.

Thanks guys. I only have a microwave where I work so I'm limited as to what I can take. Some great suggestions though, will defo try batch cooking and freezing them ready to defrost that sounds the best option, thanks

Suggestions of food (what I bring):
    -pre sliced (by me) apples
    -fruit salad
    - chicken bites (chicken I grilled and dice up)
    - Roll ups (ham and cheese)
    - Mozzarella sticks
    - Diced cheese
    - Glutino bars (I'm allergic to wheat/barley/oat)
    - Olives
    - Pre. Cut veggies
    - Steamed veggies

Not sure if you have access to a refrigerator, I bought a cooler so I can bring whatever.

Just a helpful tip in terms of logging: I changed breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks to 12am-6am, 6am-12pm, 12pm-6pm, 6pm-12am. That way I am always consistent on where logged food goes (as to what day I put it under) and it matches up with my fit bit.

I work on a schedule of 2 days and 2 night, it's really hard eating right at night. I know a lot of people think you can just take what you normally eat and do so at night, but I find you're hungrier and eating keeps you busy and from falling asleep. Also night shift coworkers are always eating terribly and getting take away.

I generally bring lots of cut up fruits and veggies and crunchy snacks like Calbee baked snap peas and oriental rice crackers. I think I'll do what elphie754 mentions and bring roll ups, cheese and olives, that sounds yummy and would keep me from wanting the take away.

Also, I give myself an eating schedule when I work at night, it gives me set times when I can eat my meals and snacks, I find this helps keep me from randomly eating things.
