    So go burn some...

Hehe, I'm sure it's not that bad... what's your limit, where are you at?

I normally just slap on my trainers and go for a brisk walk for 15-20 minutes. Is this a possibility to bring you back in line? If not look to pull it back over the week.

So did I but all we gotta do is dust ourselves off and get back on track tomorrow! One day of going over won't ruin us. :)

Yep! Burn some calls or call it a day and stay under tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a new day! Try to find out why you went over (e.g. deficit is too aggressive, eating low satiating foods, boredom, emotionally stressed, etc.) and just move on. For me, I find it mentally healthier to just move on to the next day and not "punish" myself for going over. Fixing the root cause seems to work out better than making myself eat less or train harder in order to make up for it.

So have I. It happens sometimes. Tomorrow is a new day.

Look at your weekly goal, not daily.

That's why I record everything I intend to eat... i.e. I log food before I prepare and eat it. ;)

This way if I go overboard, I decide what I can go without for the day... I remove it and end up not eating it in the first place.

If you go over your daily limit, you could always exercise to burn the extra calories off.

Yeah, it happens. Don't beat yourself up about it, but get back to it tomorrow and make sure you don't. If you are feeling really bad, like others have mentioned, you could go for a walk or do some calisthenics to burn some off. You'll be fine though if you get back on track.

Just remember - if you are set for 2-pound-per-week loss like I am, then MFP is building in a 1000-calorie-a-day deficit. So if you go over by 200 or even 500 calories, you still hit a deficit for the day.
