My problem with wraps

ok, this is possibly my biggest pet peeve on the planet. WRAPPING YOURSELF IN SIRAN WRAP WILL NOT HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT!!!! I do believe it can help tighten and firm your skin due to the MOISTURE entering your skin. When you use a wraps product, they clearly say to eat healthy and workout, which is exactly why the weight would come off and then it fools you into thinking that they work. They even say it is TEMPORARY weightloss if you do happen to lose any weight. Stop wasting your money and do things the healthy natural way. Also, ItWorks Greens also say ON THEIR WEBSITE their claims have not been clinically proven or approved by the FDA or any regulatory or government agency.
Rant over.

Or something. I've seen it in the gym. Guys pouring sweat and working the machines even when wobbly.

My problem with wraps is that they have as many calories as regular bread. What happened where wraps = good, bread = bad?

The reason why the fitness and diet industry is a BILLION dollar a year industry is because people who are unknowledgeable in weight loss will listen to "testimonials" of people on these programs who succeeded. But for every testimonial, there's 9 other testimonials that will say it DIDN'T work for them for whatever reason.
ANY program works if people do EVERYTHING they tell you to do. Problem is it's not sustainable in most cases whether due to restriction or monetary cost, hence the high failure rate.
But sellers of these programs don't really care. They are just out there to sell to the naive and make a killing.

My mom used to wear garbage bags under her workout clothes when I was little. I have never tried that but I did buy an Golds Gym hot/cool stomach wrap just after I had kids to help keep everything from jiggling haha.

Those guys probably have some idea of what they're doing. It's still dangerous, and more than a little stupid. People desperately trying to make weight for things can go a little overboard.

Aw, man. I was totally here for a discussion of how to keep your lettuce-wrap BLTs from falling apart. They're tasty but I never eat them because they're a mess.
