Go to Food, Recipes, and you can either input the recipe yourself or enter the URL if you use an online recipe. If you input your own, measure or weigh all your ingredients, enter the number of servings the recipe makes, and it will figure the percentages for you.

If you create the recipes, it'll calculate all that for you from the ingredients (roughly, of course, not taking into consideration cooking methods) and you can tell it how many portions the recipe makes.

I second the recipe builder. Works great for your home made recipes and for recipes you find online.

    Ok thank you!

That kind of takes out all spontaneity in the kitchen doesn't it : /

Not necessarily! Just keep your scale handy, and enter ingredients as you go.

Yes you're right, just need to get in the habit.

Do I need to add coffee and hot drinks

I don't bother - but I also don't add sugar or milk to anything so it all tends to be zero calorie :)

    Thank you so much all.
Now I've got no more questions to keep me procrastinating ....

Oh wait - breast feeding! Does that change anything or is there anything on the app about it?

from people I know who have breast fed I've been told it burns calories, though as a mother to fur babies and not humans I'm not sure how to go about accounting for that. Doesn't look like you can select that as a profile option

So, I tried doing a couple of recipes, since I mostly cook my own meals from scratch and don't want to have to enter ALL the ingredients every time. When I get done, everything looks great, but when I try to add a serving to my diary, a 260 calorie serving only has 4 calories. WTH? Help!
