Weight loss and Toning.

Hi everyone, my name is Kam. On a journey of weight loss and toning after having 2 kids! However after a week of discipline on food and exercise I have put on 5lbs but I feel and look slimmer! Think I need to ditch the scales! How is everyone else getting on? Kam

    Please - there is no such thing as "toning." If you want to get in shape, you will be building muscle. And it takes more than a week. And you can't possibly gain 5lb in a week. It is water weight gain.

    That being said, good luck in getting fit again, if that is the case, or getting fit for the first time. If you didn't work out while pregnant, start slow. It looks like it's been a while for you, so you are in the majority of the American population. Be careful of doing too much too soon. Make this a habit for the rest of your life.
