I suggest you do a forum search on the word "plateau".

i'm aware this happens - but it gets in your head - it's depressing to work hard at dieting with level results

How tight is your logging? If you open your diary we could have a look there. Have you changed anything else about your routine other than your diet? 10 lbs in 3 weeks is a lot. In fact, 10 lbs in 40 days is still pretty good! You still weigh less now than you did this time last month so don't panic yet.
It's simple science that if you eat fewer calories than you burn you will loose weight. It may not come off at a steady rate, but it will come. The first step is always to make sure you are accurate with your calculation of your calories in and out. That means making sure you are logging all your food and drink correctly and also that you have your activity level and calories expenditure correctly recorded.

Weight loss is not linear. When I was losing, I would loose weight in 'clumps' and then go weeks without any loss. You're right, it does mess with your head a little. If you're weighing and measuring your foods/drinks and you're being honest in your food diary then you're doing fine - just keep it up, and try reading this: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-whooshes-and-squishy-fat.html

Without knowing anything about you or your situation other than you have stopped losing weight for the past 3 weeks... I say start here with some research ..

dead accurate on counting-seditary health reasons (leg)-500c deficit daily-diet protein and under 50g carbs-alcohol (which i also count) may be contributing - but how much can you give up-still have to live and enjoy life-thnx all
