Hello, I have been yo-yoing in weight since in my teens. Been as low as 114lbs at 5'6 to 215lbs at 5'5 (love that you lose height as you get older). I have found that as long as I am accountable to someone I do better. My family is the type to tell me "aww, this once won't hurt you." How little do they know that once leads to another and another, until just the smell of a doughnut adds 10lbs. I am looking for anyone out there, be you female or male, near or far, to share emails to work on losing that which I need to.

Hi! I have two things in common with you, maybe 3! I'm also in my late 40's and have shrunk in height (used to be 5'5"", now 5'4"). I've yo-yo'd all my life, currently 176 at home but always 5 lbs more at the doctors office. I am determined to learn to eat healthier than I have in the past. One thing I am focusing on right now is reducing my sugar intake and finding healthier ways to deal with emotions than chocolate! My first small goal is 169, my big goal is 145. Have a hubby and three kids, two of whom are grown and out of the house, and work full time.

Hi there! I just turned 50 (ouch!) and I've also yo-yo'd. In my early 20's I was so thin and worked out so much that I was considered anorexic.... now I'm at the other end of the spectrum. Food and I have a very unhealthy relationship! Let's help keep each other in check!

Hi Beloved... I totally understand what you are saying I used to be 5' 1" and weighed 110 all during my 20s and 30s and then when I turned 39 had a baby and gained baby weight and other weight and has continue to creep on to a whopping 204 lbs at 5'nothing. I am 49 yrs old and look at my precious boy and want to be there for him. My husband is my worst critic and is not helpful nor supportive at all especially when he has told me I am fat and says, "Wow you gonna eat all that" and I have a salad in front of me as he is downing Italian bread stuffed with cold cuts and then finishes it off with Italian pastries. I have gotten so upset and cried and left the table and thrown away the salad to later come back and stuff junk food secretly which makes me feel better at the moment but the next morning I am hating myself all over again. I did join Nutrisystem and in the last 3 months and $900 dollars later have lost only 12 lbs. Very expensive 12 lbs and am so bored with the packaged foods. I need to find motivation with others. I purchased a Treadclimber and have been doing 20 minutes each day and so far I like it (only started 3 days ago) and hope that his helps me along with learning to love myself and learning to eat. Menopause has begun and I feel like quitting so often due to the mood swings and cravings but I need to find a better outlet. If you need an accountabilibuddy let me know.

Hi there. I know the long term yo yo well. I'm doing really well on MFP eating foods I love and finally learning how to integrate real life into a weight loss (and eventual maintenance) journey. I'm in my 40's and would love to be a part of your support network. Feel free to add me.

57 and looking to lose 80-100 pounds. My weight has been a problem all my life. I have 2 sons (22 and 23) who live with me and work full time. I probably have never lost more than 25 lbs before I hit a plateau for a couple months and give up. I watch my carbs in addition to calories as I am insulin resistant and have pcos. Please feel free to add me.

I am back to MFP again. I'm 47, also looking for new friends. I start out well, then lose momentum, then gain all lost weight back again. This time I will keep going!

I am 37 5'4" and at my heaviest of 212ish. Lowest I have been probably after 25 is 160. My butt and hips have always been my biggest but now at 212 everything is big. My husband has a very demanding job and burns thousands of calories a shift so can eat whatever he wants which kills me, I just can't eat like that. My husband has encouraged me to stop putting my job first and focus on me because he knows I am not happy right now. He has always been supportive and loves my behind (smiles) but knows I am not happy right now. I need to get to 170 atleast and if smaller that would be awsome. I just need to enjoy shopping for cloths which I haven't been able to do since I had my daughter at 30.
