Warning tmi period talk, but I need to know if I'm alone or not lol!!

So I have been doing MFP for 6 weeks now , IV stayed pretty true to it, it's been hard!! And IV worked out like IV never done before!! I have now had a period for 15 days. Has anyone experienced prolonged periods? Could it be from being way more active? Can't find anything about it online... Just want to know if anyone who has made big diet and excersise changes have experienced anything abnormal in regards to periods ..... Or if it's not related I need to go to doc...

Usually exercise lightens periods... If your period is lasting that long, it's probably something with your hormones. I'd check it out with a doctor if I were you.

I'd go to your doctor anyway, just to be sure. I haven't experienced anything like that!

I've never heard of prolonged periods from working out. I've heard the opposite. Although, it could certainly be your body's way of adapting.

Either way, you need to call your OBGYN because you are experiencing an abnormal cycle.

I have heard of late periods, early periods, lighter periods and even more painful cramps for some. Never have I heard of periods lasting longer...especially half a month long. Get to your Dr!

I too have been looking on line. I started a new eating and exercise routine last November 2014, and my periods were (my)normal at first. But as time went on and i became more and more active and lost more and more weight, i have found my periods changing. I turned 50 in march and dont know if it has anything to do with that, but for the last two months, i have had my periode (less long then normal) but instead i get it twice a month. I figured i would wait a bit more and if it doesnt regulate itself, i will be seeing a doctor as well. I tried to find info on line about it, but they only talk about missing your periods from dieting and exercising, not getting it more often. Hope you find out what is causing it. I will continue looking as well. Good luck
