Depends on frequency, intensity and motivation with exercise.
Diet is a big part of losing weight. You cannot out train a bad diet.
A healthy loss per week (and to keep off) is 1kg = 2.2 pounds.

Losing weight is 90% diet. You have to have a calorie deficit to lose weight. If you work out 4 hrs a day but eat back those calories you will stay the same weight. The only way to lose weight is to eat less than your body burns in a day, forcing your body to use its storage. I didn't work out but cut calories significantly and managed 100lbs in about 9.5 months. Everyone is different though and often men seem to do better with exercise because it helps their hormonal balance which helps them burn more.0
