Weight lifting routine from home - need suggestions

I am on week 9 of Jamie Eason Livefit and really have grown to enjoy weight lifting. I only have 3 weeks left and would like to hear some feedback from others who have done weight lifting routines at home. I am considering Strong Curves or Simply Shredded since I have the equipment to do them from home. Any suggestions? Any to stay away from? TIA!!

    What equipment do you have?

    I've heard good things about Strong Curves.
    I lift at home as well, following ICF 5x5.
    There's also Stronglifts, New Rules of Lifting (for Women, For Life, etc), Nia Shanks Beautiful Badass, All Pro, Starting Strength

    I've done All Pro's at home and Strong Curves. Both were good, my preference was the latter. I originally picked it because I had a very bad time with back squats and after three months of fighting with them I wanted to try different types of squats. SC goes through several different types. So I like it for that plus I feel like I've had good results with the rest of the program as well. Oh, and I like that I can up my weights every workout if I want to. With AP you keep the same weight for 5 weeks and then if you miss one rep during test week you have to stick with it another 5 weeks.

    I was so confused on the progression so I was like "nope!" even though I like the lifts in it.

    Yeah, I have two days a month when I am super weak. Guess which days aligned with test week?

    I recommend StrongLifts 5x5 but you would need a squat rack to work out safely at home

    I have a pulley system home gym (Golds gym), Barbell with plates (125 lbs total), Dumbells (5,10,15,20), resistance bands, bench. Fairly basic and really no more room for a Squat Rack. I was looking at SC, but was concerned if I could do it from home. I don't have a gym close enough nor the time to really go before or after work so my home gym must suffice.

    You can do it from home. First, it's actually 4 programs and one of them is completely bodyweight. Second, all of them incorporate some bodyweight movements. Third, the book comes with a great glossary/reference section that includes alternative exercises. Fourth, if you are just starting out squatting you may be able to use your bench in place of a squat rack (assuming it's the kind with hooks to hold the bar when you bench), or pick the bar up off the floor (thinking of front squats and Zerchers.) Plus it has you do goblet squats for at least one phase and those don't require a rack at all.

    I also wanted to add that you can get the pdf of the programs by googling "strong curves pdf." He makes it available on his website. I still highly recommend the book. You can get it in ebook but I like the hard copy because it is easier to flip back and forth that way.

    Hi I'm doing LiveFit by Jamie Eason for a 3rd time! I lost over 25 lbs. I prefer to workout at the gym because of the childcare. I have small children. Also, it gives me a mental break and seeing other women Workout motivates me. How's it going for you? What did you decide on after all?

    I finished Livefit and moved on to Simply Shredded. Its a bit redundant and I'm on week 5 as of today. Last week I added in Strong Curves for more variety so just starting week 2 of that. I find they are both great and have increased strength significantly since starting lifting. I will consider doing Livefit again since it is such a great routine.

    Have a honest look at your weak points and make your own routine around them.
