    Why would you go into a relationship for money??? OK, OK, I know the rhetorical answer here is a big fat yes, but it is perfectly true that money doesn't make you happy. I have met people with money but the personality of a road accident. The shine was quickly lost and the relationship crashed and burned. Fortunately I was young and foolish then, and personality quickly went up the agenda and money was abandoned!!

    I've done the trophy gf/golddigger route and as above says the shine wears off pretty fast I lasted about 3 years and it ended in a horrific mess. Would not recommend! So for me now it would have to be love 100%!!!

    *Saying that I've dated considerably poorer and that doesn't work at all, seems to be a male ego thing.

    I would hope love. There are other factors though. Stability is pretty important. If your money is low, your stress is high and that doesn't help things at all!
