Hi, I'm 48 and definitely found over the last few years the middle age spread taking over. Finding it more difficult that it use to be to lose a few pounds.0

I think it does take longer to lose weight as we get older. I'm 47. Strength training helps a lot since we tend to lose muscle mass as we age so we burn fewer calories at rest. Add some muscle and burn more calories. As for hot flashes, eliminating soy eliminated those for me a few years ago. I'm sure they'll be back in a year or two when I get to menopause.0

Yes, definitely harder. But not impossible. I'm 47 and have to be extra diligent with food and more active. Thankfully with a lot of hard work I've got the bulk of my weight off and am shooting for my last 5-9lbs. I'm on the pill for medical reasons so that is masking my peri symptoms and complicating my weight loss. My other problem is impatience, when the scale doesn't move0
