I'm just getting started on my diet and need recipes that will fit into 1200 a day. Appreciate any and all help. Thanks a bunch

    Hi Debbie, it is not easy to eat just 1200 cals a day. My suggestion is to eat healthy about 1500 cals and workout for 300 cals. My diary is open if you want to see how I manage.

    I'm sure this was well-intentioned advice, musicandarts, but the OP, Debbie, is a 59 year old female, so unless she's very active 1200 calories is probably plenty for her.

    As for recipe ideas that fit into a 1200 calorie per day eating plan, I suggest eating meals that are high in both lean protein and non-starchy vegetables and lower in carbohydrates since meals like that will allow you to eat a higher volume of food while keeping the number of calories on the low side.
