    When I was 135-140lbs, I was a size 4/6, 28 jeans, 8 in formal dresses, and M top.

Clothing sizes vary wildly between type of clothing and manufacturers. I'm not trying to be discouraging to you, but I would try not to compare yourself with the clothing sizes of others. Sizes are similar to the scale: somewhat helpful as a gauge, but if you give those numbers too much power over you it can be a negative thing.

Currently 137 at 5'4" and I wear a size 2/4 pants, medium top, and a size 6/8 dress. That's US sizing.

Thank you for commenting! I'm purely satisfying my interest and I fully understand everyone's different shapes and sizes differ in shops. I can't wait to fit in normal clothes rather than plus size

I don't know where the people in these forums buy their clothes, but I'm 5'4" and I am at 145 and I am barely into a size 10. I know I'm a pear shape, but when I read that others are in a 2/4 and only weigh 8 pounds less than me, or weigh more than me and are wearing a smaller size, I'm thinking- vanity sizes. But oh well, I have been buying clothes at Goodwill lately as I'm shrinking so I'm sure they were made years ago. Interesting because when I was in high school I was 117 and a size 7 (even when I was thin I was a pear shape). And I work at a school and the FACS teacher talks about how upset the girls get who take the sewing classes because the sizes on the patterns haven't changed in 20 years- those who now wear a size 10 are a size 18 when they measure for a pattern. So really, do clothing sizes really mean anything?

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing. I am 5"4 and my weight fluctuates between 119-125. I usually wear a size 4 or 6. Thinking something must be wrong with me. lol lol

I am 5"4.. when I started I was busting out of a 26, now I am comfortably in a 16. I dont get too fixated on size, lots of discrepancies. I wont squeeze into something uncomfortable just so I can claim to wear a certain size.

Muscle weighs more than fat- by volume. So they may have less volume than you but be at a higher weight due to different body composition (i.e. more muscle and less body fat).

    I'm 5ft3.5 and currently 167lbs - I'm a UK size 14 on the bottom and a 12 on the top.

I am very pear shaped, 29" waist, 41" hips so jeans that fit me around my bottom are huge around my waist.

My goal is around 126 - 133lbs and I think I'll be an 8 on top and 10-12 on the bottom.

At my largest I was 220lbs and a size 20.

I'm 5'3", 127lb and wear either a 4 or small in most brands. Extra small in expensive stuff. Two years ago, at the same weight, I wore a size 8.

Working out with weights, in group fitness classes changed that. I don't lift heavy - just up to about 25lb worth of free weights (that's 12.5/hand). And aquatic fitness.

Oh yeah I totally get that. I am trying to also change my body fat composition by lifting 3 times per week. It might be what may make me have a bit of a higher end goal weight because I am sure when I was thin I was pretty flabby with very little muscle. So if I am lifting I'm hoping for denser leaner arms and legs and torso and maybe can stop before I'm down to my goal of 120 because really 130-135 might suit me just fine.
